| Neighbourhood Policing |
Each area now has a local tasking meeting, any problems in your neighbourhood let me know and I will pass on the information.
The neighbourhood policing team now at Sutton who look after the Walmley / Minworth side of things. If anyone would like to make contact with your local police team, or make comments, you can now e-mail them direct to:- Walmley@west-midlands.pnn.police.uk 0345 113 5000 (ext 7601 6323).
OR ring Police National Number 0345 113 5000 then ask for area police (Sutton Coldfield)
Crime stoppers number 0800 555 111 reporting anonymously on all things.
We have been asked by our community police team to make local people aware of the following:-
It is an offence to park your motor vehicle in such a manner as to :-
- Obstruct a residential driveway.
- Obstruct a public footpath.
- Obstruct or park within 10 metres of a road junction.
If you park your vehicle in or within 10 metres of a road junction, you may be issued with a police fixed penalty notice (£30.00) for obstruction. The only exception to this is if the area is an authorised parking space. The offence of obstruction also applies to driveways and footpaths.
If you park in such a manner as to commit any of these offences, you may well be putting the safety of all pedestrians at risk.
Police Officers are making regular patrols in the area and will issue fixed penalty tickets where appropriate.
